Hi Tommy,

It's unfortunate that your experience was so unpleasant. First and foremost, the show was a part of the overall Braves game day. It was intended as a bonus experience for Braves fans. As such, prizing including Turner Field drive arounds and Braves gear. The show was an opportunity for those who like baseball and cars to come together for a unique experience—a fusion of the two.

Regarding parking fees, neither the Braves nor AutoTrader Classics could waive the parking fees as the parking lot is owned by Impark. AutoTrader actually purchased an extra space from Impark for EACH car to allow all car owners to park in two spots—avoiding door dings. We understand your concern about the trailer parking fees and will discuss your concern with the Braves when working on the next Octane in the Outfield event. $40 for a trailer is the rate Impark always charges regardless of the event, and the $10 registration (which went toward parking) was actually less than the actual parking rate - $12. Again, the show was intended for those planning on attending the game, so for most, participating in the show actually saved them money. With your feedback, we will talk to the Braves about options for those not interested in attending the game next year.

As for the judging, neither the Braves nor AutoTrader Classics had any say in the judging, as, to your point, the Braves specializes in baseball experiences and AutoTrader Classics specializes in providing online and print classifieds and editorial content for classic car enthusiasts.

Hired, seasoned judges (one actually runs this very site, southeast wheels events, specializing in ISCA judging), made all of the judging calls. We all may have judged the show very differently, or we may have judged on the same lines. It’s hard to tell as we’re not the trained judging professionals.

We have received a good bit of feedback from attendees, most very positive with a few suggestions for improvement as well, which we will take to the Braves for consideration for the next event. Thanks for providing your feedback.

This car show was a PATHETIC JOKE!!! They were charging $50 to park a trailor, $20 to register plus $$$ for a ticket. Some nice people (Mike from Auto Trader & Joel from the Braves thing) but not worth the efftort. The judges actually gave first place in the Chevy division went to a STOCK yes STOCK 2009 Corvette(ANYONE CAN WRITE A CHECK---WHY EVEN SHOW IT ---ANYONE & EVERYONE CAN SEE IT AT THE DEALER). There were much nicer custom, restored cars (ex:1960 Corvette---which should have had 1st place). but no great loss there prizes constited of autographs OR a $25 gas card. (How pathetic) Auto Trader stick with mags & Braves people stick with balls & stay away from cars. I would NEVER EVER go to this type of show ever again. I most deffinatly wasted a saterday.
