West Ga Nova & Classic Car Club

Information

West Ga Nova & Classic Car Club

The West Ga Nova & Classic car club is a club for those with novas and classic cars, originally it was Douglas county nova club but since the nova club has co-opted with the west ga classic car club, both clubs are founded by J. Purvis, we try to have atleast a meet and greet every four to six weeks, and a car show every five months. our annual dues are only $50 a year half goes to the club and towards finding new locations, the other half is donated to either st. jude's childrens hospital or to cancer research of america, all dues are recommended either in cash at a local meet and greet or via US Postal money order. we specialize in Novas and Classic Cars from the '50's-earlier '80s, we like to see all condition cars in the club not just show cars, we accept daily drivers, restorations in progress, sleepers, show cars, customs and rat rods. the club originally started as the douglas county nova club and has since expanded to be called the west ga nova & classic car club though the originally is still functioning in douglas county. we are trying to start chapters in west Ga but at the moment it is a collective of all those in west Ga and east alabama. our meet and greets are a way to bring in potential new members by meeting at a pre-determined location, a way to meet other members and generally hang out and chat. to us a Classic car is still a classic car dispite what condition it may be, they are rare and are not generally seen all over the streets. our club is for american made muscle cars, sports, cars, trucks, customs, hot rods, rat rods, sleepers, etc. at the moment we are very few in numbers and until we reach 40 members the dues will not be in affect. another unique thing about our club is that if you cannot pay your due for whatever reason we will allow the member to pay when he or she can. we are family oriented and friends oriented type of club, it's a way to meet people with the same interests.

You can also check out the facebook page there aren't many members and the few we do have in the club aren't on facebook as soon as we get more members to the club the more meet and greets we will have for the club.

The Facebook page is Douglas County Nova Club but we accept new members from anywhere around the west perimeter of atlanta, west georgia, and east alabama, the thing that is most needed from our newest members is to be in driving distance of douglas county as we are currently based out of lithia springs,Ga.

This club is for the young and old, i'm the owner/founder my name is Jessee Purvis i'm only 26 years old but i've loved novas for a good decade or so i'm proud to be a nova owner as they aren't as common as other chevrolets out there making this club special in so many ways as we are the only nova club based out of douglas county and one of the only Classic Car Clubs in west Ga.

what you need to join:

1. either be the owner of a Nova or classic car

2. love novas and classic cars of all types

3.plan on being active within the club

4.be kind and polite to others

5.be willing to help others with thier novas and classic cars if need be

Things that will get you kicked out of the club:

1.being excessively rude to other members

2.harassing any member rather playfully or directly

3.any act of violence of any kind against another member of the club

4.doing anything to another's nova or classic car without permission of said owner
